ED CARTER
Ed was raised in a southern church going family and held various positions in ministry as a youth at his church, including Jr. Steward, Choir member, and Usher.
Ed received his B.S. degree in Business Administration from Benedict College in Columbia, S.C., and he worked for several Fortune 500 companies until he relocated to Atlanta, Ga in 1986. Shortly after arriving to Atlanta, Ed and his brother James started their own General Contracting Company.
In 1987 he married the love of his life, Glenda Simons and from this union they have three grown children (Glenyce, Elizabeth, and Erica) and two grandchildren. They also had a son who is deceased.
In 1987 Ed and Glenda attended and joined Cross Cultural Church, formerly Abundant Life Church, where he received Christ as his Lord and Savior. He served in various ministries and leadership positions during his 25years at Abundant Life Church, including, Head of Finance Committee, Deacon, Head Deacon, Interaction Group Leader, Usher, and Overcomer's ministry facilitator. In addition, Ed and Glenda are certified Trainers and Facilitators for Prepare-Enrich Pre-marital and Marriage counseling.
He is one of the original members of Gospel Hope Church, where he has served in ministry and various leadership positions since its inception.
